The Go.Doc is designed to accord with the ACSAA Standard 4.4 Living Environment and Assessment Module 6.
Undertaking the Go.Doc review and audit process is to action Standard 4.4. and to demonstrate and document your commitment to Continual Improvement of the built environment.
From our experience in designing Aged Care facilities we found that Standard 4.4. has many overlapping common elements with OHS law, the DDA’92 and the Building Code of Australia (BCA). For administrators and Architects this repetition of standards and auditing procedures has created a nightmare of compliance procedures and greater potential for error and future liability.
The Go.Doc has simply combined the common elements of each standard and has replaced the audit repetition with a comprehensive risk management and quality improvement process.
