Arqua are leaders in integrating compliance services within the one services offer including Work Health and Safety (WHS) consultation and reporting to cover the designer’s responsibilities under the WHS Act.
In accordance with the Model WHS Act and synchronised State based WHS Acts;- The designer must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the plant, substance or structure is designed to be without risks to the health and safety of persons: (a) who, at a workplace, use the plant, substance or structure for a purpose for which it was designed.
Consultation clauses within the WHS Act require the designer team to address their duty-of-care by engaging with the people who will be affected by the design in production and the end user. We facilitate and document the required consultative process between the design team, manufactures, and maintenance and user groups at critical project millstones.
For architects and building owners and managers the new model Work Health and Safety WHS services encapsulate ‘Safety in Design‘ and supersede Occupational Health and Safety OH&S.
